Natura Onecoat Wood Oil 2K Natural Mist 1.3 L

I liked the product overall. I originally had some troubles with the colored products as the colors didn't match the pictures. I received some help from Natura and am now extremely happy with the product. I think it's a great value for the cost. There are not as many options for types/sizes/colors as competitors, but it's a great product for value. Was rated as one of the most durable hardwax oils online as wellNatura said they are working at offering smaller samples for purchase and I hope that's available because that will help people a lot. Here are my descriptions on the colors I tried if it helps anyone. I don't think their pictures do a good job and I hope they capture a greater number of pictures and wood species to help customers.Picture is on a test piece of alder, sanded to 120Natural: Clear finish that does yellow the wood a bit similar to a poly or other finish wood.Charcoal: Very dark black finish. Comes out almost like a black stain, completely coating the wood. Both the grain/dark/light parts of the wood all coming out black. It retains the character of the wood grain providing a nice black look. (The picture here has more light parts than most tests I did came out with but was the only picture I had)Black: Came out similar to when I mixed charcoal and the natura. It highlights the grain black and then leaves a nice light brown color on the other parts of the wood similar to the color of the natural with a little black mixed into those parts as well.Walnut: All brown. Very dark brown on parts of grain down to a light brown. Typical walnut brown color for the main parts of the board.Chocolate Brown: The brown is similar to walnut with the grain/darker parts being black. Generally is a dark brown with black color. This is similar to a Kona stain that I often use and I'm actually going to us this as a substitute for that which is much easier to apply.

So I ordered the white and the Walnut. The white is exactly the look I was going for but unfortunately on my southern yellow pine it would eventually turn yellow. The walnut was just way too dark for my liking. I did a sample of each color on water popped and non water popped both sanded to 120 grit. The first pic is the walnut the darker one is the water popped board and as you can see makes a huge difference. Pic 2 is the white not water popped and third pic is white water popped, not a lot of difference there. I reached out to the company and they were so so helpful, even sent me more samples and explained that I could use natural white on my pine to prevent the yellowing, but it would not achieve the white washed effect. I was ok with that since having something natural on our floors was the most important thing to us. If we wanted to walk on plastic we would have gotten laminate. We bought a buffer and used the white pads to apply and then a microfiber to buff. We did our entire house 2,300 sq feet with 3 of the large cans and had some left over. Application was fast and easy. I will agree with other reviewers that the can design is not the best and you will have to puncture the side of the hardener can to be able to get all of it out. There’s also not enough hardener for the oil so make sure you measure it out when mixing. The smell is minimal and you can walk on the floors in 24 hours!! So much better than traditional and toxic polyurethane. I am in love with my floors, you have no idea how nice this feels to walk on. We did a bedroom and a bathroom a few weeks before the rest and so far it repels water and cleanup is easy. I highly recommend this brand and I hope they remain affordable, unlike the other brands. The fourth and fifth pics are the finished product and the last two pics are before we applied the Natura. I just wanted to make a thorough review with Southern yellow pine, for anyone else, since there were no examples. I’m definitely a fan!!

A lot of other reviewers complained that the can came dented. Mine was not. I also did not have a hard time opening it. I actually fount it very easy to open. I must say this is the first tine I have ever used hard wax oil and I am in LOVE. This product is very easy to use, it is a little thicker than I thought but goes on very smoothly. I do recommend using a syringe to get the product out of the containers and mixing them in a silicone cup for ease. The product is easy to apply let sit for about 5 min then wipe off excess and buff with cotton rag it dries quickly and is not at all tacky to the touch. We did apply a second coat for additional protection as it went on the dining room table my husband and I made. The finish quality is a satan like finish but not like a satin polyurethane. This is a clear color and does not affect the color of the wood. Or turn the wood yellow It just brings out the woods natural beauty. With this product you can actually see the wood grain clearer and felt it better than with a poly finish. I will never go back to using polyurethane when finishing my wood projects.

Works great on black walnut slab! Brings out figure in wood. Smooth and has a little shine. Easy to apply. Dried quickly, but requires time to cure completely.

I am finishing wood for a she-shed that we are building on our property and I chose to try out a burnt wood finish. After burning to my desired color I was absolutely in love with the texture and subtle sheen of the bare wood, so I did TONS of research to find the best product to seal my wood without changing its appearance.I am SO glad that I found this hard wax oil finish!!!It went on smooth as butter and was extremely straightforward to apply. I was able to get all sides of the boards finished within the timeframe before the product became unusable. I am obsessed with how it turned out!!The ONLY note I would make is the smell. It absolutely has a distinct smell to it, and I highly suggest using gloves when handling this product because I couldn’t get the smell off my skin for days afterwards. It isn’t a bad smell to me personally, but my mother was very bothered by it. So just beware prepared for a smell no matter what the can claims for VOC’s.My attached photos show one board with this hardwax oil applied, and the rest bare wood that I had simply burnt and brushed to give an idea of how much it changed the appearance. It worked PERFECT for my project, and I adore how it darkened the wood a tiny bit, but if you are applying a lighter finish like a white wash I would probably look into a different product.

First of all, let me state I’m relatively new at woodworking and finding a coating system like this has been a game changer. I had scheduled in a last-minute craft show for my products and had less than a week to produce enough products to set up my booth. After a few months of researching Natura Onecoat and a few of its competitors I was finally put in the position where I needed to finish multiple pieces in the matter of hours versus days. The results were absolutely amazing. After the first day of the show, I had sold quite a few pieces and needed to produce more that night in order to rebuild my stock. I was able to machine sand and finish over a dozen charcuterie boards, and other items all in one evening. Per their instructions I only sanded everything to 120 (well 150 because I ran out of 120) which only took a few minutes after my products came out of the drum sander. I was very nervous because I couldn’t wrap my head around how it was going to be a smooth finish once I applied their product. As promised after going through the proper steps of application, I buffed my pieces dry and the results were shocking. I was left with a beautiful satin finish that made the grain and color of the wood pop like I’ve never seen before. The compression curl in one of my boards had a 3-D effect And only took 15 minutes to do. This allows me to bring over $1000 more dollars in products between day, one and day two of the show. My customers were amazed of the quality of finish for the items that they end up purchasing. In all I was able to finish over $2000 worth of wood products and used just under a half of a can to do so. I would have spent dozens of hours over the course a few days to finish these products with industry standard finishes, such as poly. Instead, I was able to produce more products which is incredibly valuable to a small business.Secondly the customer Service of this company is absolutely amazing. I posted a question on their website about a specific use of their product that it wasn’t necessarily intended for. I didn’t just receive a email reply I actually received a call around 6pm from Turkey (3am there) from one of the creators and executives are the company. He was able to answer all of my questions and we had a great conversation about his product. Informed me there are some great things to be released that is going to be a game changer to woodworking, for that I’m really excited.So here’s my recommendation, pull the trigger guys and gals. Give this product a shot!! Not only is it extremely inexpensive for the amount of wood it covers, you will also be able to spend more time producing because you’ll have a fraction of the time spent finishing……. Time is absolutely money.And if you’re up in the air between these guys and the competitors that we all known the names of. Watch the video from the wood whisperer on his blind stress test of similar products. These guys win, hands-down, and still are a third of the cost.

This is easy to apply, water easily beads on the wood very happy with product.

Very good product really like the finish on most all of my furniture projects. Very little smell. A little lesson I learned get a cheap set of measuring spoons to mix the parts . That way you get the right mix .

This stuff is awesome. I have used it on two custom build desks I have made. One with pine and one with cherry wood. Both times came out great. Can't recommend enough.I will never use anything but this for any indoor products. (And citrus and real tung oil for outdoor projects.)
